Meet the Faithful Feminist
I honour the woman I was, I bless the woman I am, and I become the woman I was born to be
Who is The Faithful Feminist?
Jane Kenyon MBE has dedicated her life to inspiring and empowering women and teenage girls to embrace their feminine wisdom and support each other, but often this has been a challenge due to the current narrative on feminism, the negative influences on social media, the silencing of women at work and in the media and the general and continuous bashing of any woman who dares to step up to power and/or influence.
Feminism is not a dirty word nor is it a zero-sum game. Making the world more equal will not simply benefit women, it will benefit society and generations to come. It is no longer a nice to have, or a political footnote, it is a requisite for a fair and modern world.
Definition - Feminism is the belief in and advocacy for the social, economic and political equality of the sexes.
An Introduction to The Faithful Feminist from Jane
I claim my space, my voice, my power, and my joy
“After 30 years of heartfelt, gentle activism I am entering the next act of my passion for female empowerment so felt it was time to introduce my alter ego The Faithful Feminist.
“I felt it was important to own the word Feminism as it is much maligned and misunderstood and mention this word to a group of teenage girls today and the majority have no idea what it means. Similarly, mention you are a feminist to a group of women and it is a divider as it carries with it some negative baggage from decades gone by and many women feel it is at best, irrelevant and in reality obsolete.
“Oh! how this makes me scream with frustration and cry with sadness all at the same time. How did we get here? How did we arrive at a place where we believe the world that dismisses us, exploits us and marginalises us is OK? Or that the justice system that abandons us, the business world that ignores us, the men who hurt us and/or the system that treats us as ‘less than’ is OK?
“I hope the Faithful Feminist can offer some insight, support, inspiration and sisterhood at a time when we are on the cusp a revolution that not only needs female energy, but will not survive without it. We do not need any more despot, power hungry, predatory men, we need calm, peace, nurture, harmony, dialogue, softness and vision. All the power of the divine feminine.
“I believe in a world where women and girls don’t have to ask for permission to be powerful. Where female equity isn’t debated, it’s delivered.
“The Faithful Feminist is not an abstract academic meme— it’s about action. It’s about us a speaking up, showing up and banging the table when we need to.”
We honour the wisdom of women past, present, and rising — their fight fuels our fire.
“I am often heard saying ‘No, No, No, we are not done yet’. This is generally in response to someone telling me, as a woman, I need to pipe down because we have equality and how white men are in danger of being the ones in need of positive discrimination. Really? Do I need to respond to this?
“Please don’t make me state ‘not all men’ after every mention of male aggression. I know not all men are sexist, power mad, misogynists!
“So ladies and enlightened gentleman the game is not over, women are still missing in action from the C-Suite, only 15% of SME owners are female with very few are attracting or seeking investment and no matter where we end up we still have to navigate our way through workplace harassment, stress, navigating our personal safety and societal beauty norms whilst ensuring all the plates are spinning in our home lives. So no we are not done yet, the cause, in particular, the fight for female equity is not over, the campaigning is not finished, and it is not time to pick up our coats and go home!
“I believe equity isn’t a trend, it’s a birthright. It’s not about fighting for scraps at someone else’s table, its’s about building your own. I champion every woman’s right to rise, to be heard, and to live without limits.”
Let’s make magic and create change together. You could engage me as your next speaker, let’s host a workshop to help elevate your female leaders, sign up for the Sovereign Leadership courses or simply follow my insights on social media.
Faithful to:
My sisters are not my competition. They are my mirrors, my cheerleaders, my family.
“A massive passion of mine is women supporting and cheerleading other women. Sounds obvious right? I wish….
“I often see the polar-opposite in my work with women, particularly women who are succeeding in our big corporate institutions. Competition is the watch word, teams are managed by numbers and profit motives and the culture remains male, with many of the senior women who do make it to the top, becoming male in their attitude, leadership style and personality.
“Sisterhood is not just a word we fling around at women’s events or sprinkle over Instagram captions. It’s a living, breathing bond between women and girls, built on trust, loyalty, and compassion. It’s knowing that another woman’s success doesn’t dim your light – it makes the whole room shine brighter. It’s the unspoken understanding of what it means to move through the world in female skin.
“Sisterhood is:
Having each other’s backs without conditions.
Celebrating, not competing.
Creating safe, judgment-free spaces for vulnerability and growth.
Uplifting each other’s voices, dreams, and power.
“Like it? Want some? Already have some? Awesome!
I rise, not to compete, but to complete the sacred circle of sisterhood. Together, we ascend.
I trust my intuition and the magic happens
“I have long been an advocate for feminine energy and its impact on leadership, business growth and ALL relationships, but too many times women are expected to usurp their authentic feminine leanings and adopt the more traditional male leadership style to not upset the cultural norms, and as the walls of my coaching room can avow, attempting to run in someone else’s shoes is not sustainable for long, nor is it wise for business growth.
“In my first book Superwoman – Her Sell By Date Has Expired. Time to show Little Miss Perfect The door published in 2015, I discussed this model of behaviour in detail and through case studies and outlined what can happen to women in both their personal and professional live when the cape and the badge creates a male version of their identity - we see super boss, super wife, super Mom and super single in the city all struggling to find fulfilment.
The buzz word around town now is to be authentic, but what is authenticity if it is not operating from your natural energy? Here are the top seven elements of the divine feminine in flow:
Intuition
Deep listening to self and others.
Decisions often guided by gut feeling and emotional intelligence.
Collaboration over Competition
Prioritising collective success.
Leadership feels like a circle, not a hierarchy.
Empathy & Emotional Fluency
Ability to tune into emotional nuance.
Leads with compassion, understanding team needs underneath the numbers.
Nurturing & Protective Instinct
Focus on growth, development and wellbeing of people and projects.
Naturally inclined to mentor and uplift.
Cyclical & Intuitive Working Styles
More comfortable with ebb and flow rather than linear, relentless drive.
Balances action with reflection and recalibration.
Creativity & Visionary Thinking
Big-picture, legacy-focused.
Less about status, more about impact, meaning and values.
Inclusive & Community-Centred
Creates belonging and safe spaces.
Decision-making often involves a wide range of voices.
This is what the divine feminine looks like. Can you see why we need it? It is the antidote to the old school male ego-led, task based, targets driven, linear thinking, competitive model that still has a place, but without the feminine wisdom to counterbalance this energy, it is not a successful nor harmonious place to work or live.
This energy is also alive and well in every male/female relationship and the basis of sovereign leadership.
My softness is not my weakness, it is my superpower. The world heals in my tenderness.
